What is PrayerWatch?

PrayerWatch is a seven-year Christian prayer movement dedicated to the renewal of the Naton beginning from the city of Blacktown in New South Wales, Australia. It was being supported by various Christian churches in Blacktown and surrounding areas.

The event began in 2004 and will culminate this year 2010. The event is a response to the Lord’s call in 2 Chronicles 7:14 for His people to repent, humble themselves in prayer and corporately claim His promise of healing and blessing to come upon the land, every year has a different prayer focus.

 

Every year has a different prayer focus as follows:

 

  • 2004: Declaration of Jesus is Lord and Coming King
  • 2005: Focused on Prayer for the Family
  • 2006: Focused on Prayer for the Church
  • 2007: Focused on Prayer for the Government
  • 2008: Focused on Prayer for the Community
  • 2009: Focused on Prayer for the Nation
  • 2010: Focuses on Prayer for Australasia and the World
  • 2011 and beyond will be Focused on Prayer and Conference to Build & Empower the Body of Christ
