The event began in 2004 and will culminate this year 2010. The event is a response to the Lord’s call in 2 Chronicles 7:14 for His people to repent, humble themselves in prayer and corporately claim His promise of healing and blessing to come upon the land, every year has a different prayer focus.
We are so blessed to declare of what our Lord has done for our city and nation ever since PrayerWatch started in 2004. Through the years, we did not exactly know what the Lord has in stored but we kept on simply believing, trusting and obeying each step of the way. The Lord’s calling upon our hearts through 2 Kings 13 to continue to ‘strike the ground’ was relentless. Our action is just to fully embrace the responsibility and commitment for the previous six years of PrayerWatch until this year 2010 which will be the culmination and the biggest and longest nightly prayer vigil.
Since taking this step of faith, we witnessed how the Lord moved in the hearts of the different church leaders in our city to unite with one another in prayer for the renewal of the nation. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all the churches who have partnered with us, we sincerely thank you and pray that God will continue to pour His grace and blessings upon you and your church family.
We also wish to thank those twenty five churches and Christian organizations with their pastors and leaders who will be co-hosting this year’s PrayerWatch 2010 event from October 1-10. We would also like to acknowledge our guest speakers, Ps. Suzette Hattingh and Dr. Frankie Khoo for their commitment in building up the Body of Christ in the forthcoming conference.
Finally, we would like to thank in advance all the saints in the surrounding Christian churches and organizations that will be represented at this year’s prayer gathering.
We are making a difference. Just as the heavens have now opened and watered our parched land, even so we can expect a spiritual flood in our midst. Let us persevere. Please join us on our seventh year of PrayerWatch at Bowman Hall, Blacktown, NSW for ten nights from 1 to 10 October 2010 with weekend morning conferences (Saturday & Sunday) from 9:00 am-12:00pm. May the Lord richly bless and empower you!
